About The Position

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
• A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• High proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively in a remote environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., AAT) would be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
• Performing regular reconciliations of all bank accounts and credit cards to ensure their accuracy.
• Processing invoices, expense claims, and payments in a timely manner.
• Preparing and generating financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Maintaining an organised and accurate system of financial records, both electronically and physically.
• Assisting with the preparation for tax filings and audits.
• Ensuring compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
