About The Position

Yingst Building Group is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Remodeling Sales Representative to help grow our remodeling division. This position is responsible for generating, nurturing, and converting sales opportunities into signed remodeling contracts while guiding homeowners through a professional and organized remodeling experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in relationship-building, understands residential construction, and can confidently manage the complexity of remodeling projects from initial conversations through preconstruction handoff. Remodeling is complex. Existing conditions, customer expectations, selections, structural considerations, permitting requirements, and coordination across multiple trades all impact project success. This role requires someone who can understand and communicate those intricacies clearly and thoroughly before construction begins. Attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to think critically through project scope are essential to success in this position.

Requirements

  • Experience in remodeling, residential construction, sales, estimating, or project management preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to understand construction scopes, plans, and project details
  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Comfortable working with homeowners throughout the decision-making process
  • Proficiency with technology, CRM systems, and project documentation tools preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record consistent with company policy and insurance requirements

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, community involvement, and proactive outreach
  • Respond to and follow up on inbound leads in a timely and professional manner
  • Meet with homeowners to understand project goals, budgets, timelines, and expectations
  • Develop and communicate accurate remodeling scopes and project expectations
  • Collaborate with estimating, design, and production teams throughout the preconstruction process
  • Identify potential scope gaps, risks, or construction challenges early in the sales process
  • Present proposals and guide homeowners through contract execution
  • Maintain organized documentation, communication, and pipeline activity within company systems
  • Support a smooth transition from sales to production
