About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Relocation Specialist to coordinate and support the relocation of residents from one property or location to another. This position will manage multiple moving parts throughout the relocation process, ensuring residents, property teams, vendors, and leadership have accurate and timely information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including maintaining spreadsheets, sorting/filtering data, and tracking information.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage several relocations and deadlines at the same time.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to prioritize changing needs and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and compassionate approach when working with residents who may be experiencing a significant transition.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education or experience in property management, housing, customer service, or administration is a plus.
  • Experience in property management, affordable housing, resident services, relocation coordination, or a similar administrative role.
  • Experience working with multiple properties or locations.
  • Experience creating and maintaining tracking spreadsheets and reports.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, schedules, and logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate resident relocations from one location/property to another.
  • Maintain accurate Excel spreadsheets and tracking reports for relocation activities, resident information, move dates, unit assignments, and completion status.
  • Coordinate relocation schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with residents regarding relocation timelines, requirements, appointments, and next steps.
  • Work closely with Property Managers, Regional Managers, maintenance teams, vendors, and other departments to coordinate successful moves.
  • Track resident progress and follow up on outstanding items or required documentation.
  • Manage multiple resident relocations simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Identify potential issues or delays and communicate them promptly to management.
  • Maintain organized electronic files and documentation related to relocations.
  • Prepare reports and provide regular updates on relocation progress.
  • Assist with coordinating movers, transportation, unit readiness, inspections, and other relocation-related activities as needed.
  • Handle sensitive resident information with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties related to the relocation process as assigned.
