About the Role As a Relief Residential Support Worker, you'll be a source of encouragement and stability for adults living with chronic and persistent mental health challenges. Whether it’s helping with daily routines, joining in a group outing, or simply sharing a conversation over coffee, you’ll play a vital role in helping our residents live more independently and confidently. The schedule varies and the hours are as needed, making this a great opportunity for second job in the field.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of experience supporting individuals with mental health diagnoses—especially those with more chronic or persistent challenges
  • A big heart, strong communication skills, and a team-player attitude
  • Comfort working independently and being flexible with your schedule (evenings/weekends/holidays)
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • MHRT-1 certified
  • CRMA, 40-hour certification

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in social work, psych, or similar field is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Supporting residents with daily living activities (meals, personal care, chores, etc.)
  • Building trust and connection in a warm, respectful home environment
  • Encouraging independence, growth, and community involvement
  • Collaborating with a team of case managers, therapists, and health professionals
  • Participating in fun activities like art projects, game nights, and outings
  • Assisting with medication management and helping keep everyone safe
  • Being present during moments of challenge—and celebration
