Relief Veterinary Technician
About The Position
Petfolk is seeking experienced Relief Veterinary Technicians and Relief Veterinary Assistants to join their community. Petfolk aims to reshape veterinary care by combining innovation, clinical excellence, and a culture of kindness, offering professionals the same level of care, respect, and flexibility they provide to pets and pet parents. This role allows professionals to pick up extra shifts or work at different Petfolk locations. Pet Care Centers offer both general practice and urgent care services, providing opportunities to utilize a full range of Veterinary Technician skills with diverse cases and patients.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Confident in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and diagnostics
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset
- Comfortable with technology, adaptable, and motivated to grow
Responsibilities
- Support a variety of procedures and treatments
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and lab diagnostics
- Educate pet parents with compassion and clarity
- Ensure accurate medical documentation and patient histories
- Promote low-stress and Fear-Free techniques in every interaction
