About The Position

Under the supervision of the NAVIGATE Coordinator, serves as a bachelor’s level professional with the primary duty of serving as the Research Specialist for the Early-phase Schizophrenia: Practice-based Research to Improve Treatment Outcomes (ESPRITO) and early psychosis studies. Individual will perform a wide range of project related tasks including recruiting participants from the NAVIGATE Program, interfacing with national and local research teams, participation in ongoing training/supervisory sessions with Early Psychosis Intervention Network (EPINET) Teams, completing all required paperwork and documentation, providing direct and indirect mental health and co-occurring disorder services within the framework of research initiatives. The Research Specialist will maintain all required site-specific regulatory documents and work with the EPINET Teams on regulatory requirements for the study as a whole. May also serve as lead for the implementation of specific Evidence-Based Practices. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Prior experience in research, specifically human clinical trials in schizophrenia, or neuropsychological testing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Must be able to perform physical management techniques.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.

Responsibilities
