About The Position

The Relief Operator provides day-off coverage for all operators and must be able to perform all packaging jobs, including ESL and aseptic packaging, as well as processing and batching. The role requires forklift certification and accurate, complete recording of information on company documents related to relief assignments. The employee is expected to maintain optimum daily productivity.

Hours and days off vary according to the job being covered. The employee must be available to work any day of the week and any of the three shifts. Relief assignments are based on scheduling needs, and management may schedule the employee during weeks that are “open.” The employee may also perform other duties designated by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Must be forklift certified.
• Able to follow directions and carry out instructions.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Able to write legible entries for record keeping.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to perform arithmetic with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Batching and processing experience preferred.
• Certification and/or license may be required during employment.
