About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Integrated Treatment & Recovery Services (ITRS) Coordinator, this role provides a supportive atmosphere for consumers in a 10-bed medically managed detoxification program. Duties include assisting medical staff with consumer vitals, medication management, food preparation, cleaning, welcoming consumers, and providing daily consumer assistance. The candidate must be able to problem-solve crisis situations and intervene with consumers both individually and in group settings. This position is responsible for obtaining and sharing information with therapists and nurses within the unit. Requirements

Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency required.
One year of experience working with persons with substance use disorders required.
Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing is required.
Ability to work in electronic record software program.
Have computer word-processing basic skills.
Michigan State Police clearance check.
Pass a Central Registry Screening.
Verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record.
Pass pre-employment drug screen.
Pass pre-employment physical.
