About The Position

The Relief Counselor supports individuals facing mental health challenges and/or developmental disabilities, helping them live independently and beyond their perceived limitations. The role provides direct support care, ensures daily living needs are met, and maintains a safe and inspiring atmosphere. It offers flexibility to accommodate personal, work, and/or school schedules.

The role may involve an additional hourly differential recognizing skills, location, training, and populations served in certain programs; applicants should ask the recruiter whether this position qualifies.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support care and help ensure individuals’ daily living needs are met while maintaining a safe and inspiring atmosphere.
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized, person-centered support plans.
• Assist individuals in accessing community resources and/or provide transportation as needed.
• Implement activities that promote skill development, community engagement, personal growth, and meaningful relationships.
• Review and complete all required documentation.
