About The Position

The Relief Counselor provides direct support to individuals facing mental health challenges, helping them live independently and beyond perceived limitations. This role supports daily living needs and helps maintain a safe and inspiring environment while advancing the organization's mission to enhance the well-being of the people it serves. It offers flexibility for employees managing personal, work, and/or school schedules.

The position also supports individualized, person-centered planning, access to community resources, skill development, community engagement, personal growth, and meaningful relationships. The role requires completing documentation and may include transportation as needed. Certain programs may offer an additional hourly differential based on skills, location, training, and populations served.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support care to individuals facing mental health challenges.
• Ensure daily living needs are met and maintain a safe, inspiring atmosphere.
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized, person-centered support plans.
• Assist individuals in accessing community resources and provide transportation as needed.
• Implement activities that promote skill development, community engagement, personal growth, and meaningful relationships.
• Review and complete required documentation.
