About The Position

The Relief Classroom Teacher inspires and supports students by delivering engaging, purposeful lessons using evidence-based strategies and approved curriculum resources. They create inclusive environments where students feel valued and motivated to achieve their best. Through regular assessment and personalised feedback, they guide each student's learning journey, carefully tracking progress and celebrating milestones along the way. By collaborating and communicating with colleagues and families, they help build a strong support network around each student. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher to provide in-built relief across all classes in a very supportive and motivated school. The applicant will have the opportunity to teach children all curriculum areas and extend the children's learning, while growing in professional expertise. This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on leave or secondment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Education or Master of Teacher
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
  • Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Current resume
  • Cover letter that addresses the selection criteria
  • Satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment
