About The Position

Join Allison House Residential Home as a Relief Care Assistant to deliver person-centered care to each resident that is as individual as they are. This role is important, and you will receive full support, including a full training program and induction. The main priority is to ensure residents' happiness and wellbeing. You will be assisting residents with washing and personal hygiene, preparing drinks and snacks, and administering medication if necessary. The key is to consider each person’s physical and emotional needs, respecting their individuality and creating a friendly, supportive environment where people are independent and free to make their own choices. We are looking for individuals for whom caring comes naturally and who put the needs of our residents first. It’s important you can work as part of a team and keep accurate records. Above all, you must be people-focused and enjoy working with our residents. Care Assistants also work night shifts, with key responsibilities including staying awake and securing the building. There is enhanced pay for working weekends and nights.
