About The Position

Enable Ireland is seeking Relief Adult Support Workers to join its Limerick Adult Services team. The role works as part of a team in adult day services, service owners’ homes, and residential settings, providing personalised support. This includes assisting with personal care and mobility, supporting access to community services and the virtual day service, and encouraging opportunities for training, employment, and greater inclusion in local communities. The post is offered on a variable-hours contract, with a salary scale of €35,771–€43,288 pro rata per annum, subject to long-service increments. Requirements

QQI Level 5 in Care Skills, including a special-needs module (eight modules in total), or an equivalent qualification.
At least one year of experience working with adults with disabilities.
Full, clean, unrestricted driver’s licence and willingness to drive Enable Ireland vehicles.
Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
Effective communication skills and good recording practices.
Knowledge of the social model of disability.
Good understanding of adult protection and lone working.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with adults in a day-service setting.
Experience working in a community setting.
Knowledge of person-centred planning and the Key Worker system.
Knowledge of New Directions guidelines.
