About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Relief Accountant to provide support to our accounting team on a casual basis. The primary responsibility will be managing VLTs and handling daily cash transactions. This role requires approximately 8 hours per pay period, with additional hours to cover during the Hotel Accountant's scheduled vacations and time off.

Requirements

• Business or Accounting Certificate or Diploma.
• Previous cash handling experience.
• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Possess a high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Reconciliation of daily accounting records while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal control.
• Counting cash and preparing deposits.
• Count and reconcile Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) revenues in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accuracy in VLT cash handling and reporting, and promptly identify and resolve discrepancies.
