Reliability Technician

The Goodkind Co•Round Rock, TX

About The Position

The Reliability Technician maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and commissions production machinery and equipment across plant departments. The role collaborates with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to support reliable daily operations and equipment performance. The technician uses maintenance and asset-management processes to schedule and document preventive maintenance, calibration, work orders, equipment histories, and spare-parts inventory. The position also supports condition-based monitoring, reliability improvements, engineering projects, product and process trials, and root-cause analysis for equipment failures. The role oversees and maintains plant-wide PLC and control systems, and designs, programs, troubleshoots, and optimizes electrical, control, network, HMI, and PLC systems. It diagnoses failures involving PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and related equipment; trains and mentors maintenance and operations staff; and supports safety, environmental, documentation, administrative, and continuous-improvement activities. Occasional travel of up to 10% may be required, with reduced travel expected once the site is fully operational.
