About The Position

Perform maintenance activities to support the safety, reliability, and efficiency of assigned plants. This includes reliability performance data, project management, process / equipment optimization, engineering design, procurement, risk assessment, and reliability best practice. This role will provide technical subject matter expertise support for or lead the maintenance and installation of all field instruments, process control computers, and electrical maintenance at all The Company facilities. The technician will operate and control equipment used in an air separation plant, maintain Qualified Electrical Worker certification, and maintain quality control and quality assurance equipment, including process analyzers and gas chromatographs. They will install, maintain, adjust, and repair manual, pneumatic, electric, and electronic measuring, recording, and regulating instrumentation. Additionally, the role involves maintaining calibration standards, rebuilding pumps, cleaning coolers, assisting with rotating equipment rebuilds, and performing routine and non-routine analytical calibrations and adjustments. The technician will work with the management team to schedule calibration and preventive maintenance programs, assist in training and development, and perform maintenance on compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and other plant equipment as required. This position also involves reliability best practice development and compliance enforcement, accurate administrative reporting, and reading/interpreting technical drawings and manuals. The ability to research, select, and negotiate purchases for suitable plant equipment, along with statistical and analytical skills, is essential. A clean driving record is required, and other duties as assigned will be performed in compliance with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with industrial related experience required.
  • 1-3 years Reliability I&E / related work preferred.
  • 1-3 years Process operation / related work preferred.
  • 1-3 years Reliability Maintenance, Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical disciplines required.
  • Ability to assess the reliability of systems, products, and processes in business operations, then use tools and methodologies to overcome, prevent, or improve potential issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Knowledge of risk management, loss prevention, and life cycle asset management programs.
  • Perform data analysis, interpret technical drawings / documents.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to identify potential problems, analyze data, prioritize, and implement solutions.
  • Communication skills to explain technical concepts and coordinate / collaborate effectively.
  • Project Management ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously (plan, schedule, and organize).
  • Proven Leadership skills to learn from and mentor others, identify and influence critical paths / resources, and organize / lead teams to make good decisions and reduce mistakes.
  • Organizational skills for time management and effective multitasking and prioritization.
  • Clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in an industrial field plus 10 years of related experience preferred.
  • Process Operation Certificate Preferred.
  • I&E Certificate Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the training and development of others when needed.
  • Performs maintenance on compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and other plant equipment, when required.
  • Reliability best practice development and compliance enforcement. (Specifications, Standards, and Policies).
  • Accurate, organized, and on-time administrative reporting (reports, schedule, tasks, time, costs, etc.).
  • Reads and interprets technical drawings and manuals.
  • Ability to research, select and negotiate purchases for suitable plant equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
