Follow Shield AI on LinkedIn , X , Instagram , and YouTube . We are seeking a Reliability Systems Engineer to define, build, and execute the reliability program for a X-Bat. This role owns the development of reliability frameworks, drives subsystem-level test strategies, and ensures that design decisions are grounded in mission-driven reliability requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
Experience developing reliability programs from early design through flight test
7+ years of experience in reliability engineering for aerospace or complex systems
Experience with FMECA, FTA, and reliability prediction methods
Strong understanding of aircraft systems and subsystem interactions
Experience supporting hardware development, integration, and testing

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with standards such as MIL-STD-1629 & MIL-STD-810
Background in probabilistic risk assessment and uncertainty quantification
Hands-on experience with aircraft testing (ground and/or flight test)
Strong systems engineering mindset with ability to work across disciplines

Responsibilities

Work cross-functionally with design, test, and systems engineering teams to translate vehicle-level reliability targets into actionable requirements, analyses, and validation plans.
