About The Position

Ecolab is seeking a Reliability Manager II to support its plant operations team. This role involves leading and developing a high-performing maintenance organization to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. The Reliability Manager II will collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance, drive continuous improvement, and manage labor and materials within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role within an industrial environment.
  • Multi-trade maintenance background (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and maintenance operations effectively.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and make decisions aligned with business objectives.
  • Expert in PLC programming, VFD systems, and Allen‑Bradley controls, with strong troubleshooting capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of supervisory or management experience in an industrial setting (Global Operations standard).
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering or reliability discipline (for Reliability-focused roles).
  • Experience implementing reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) or predictive maintenance programs.
  • Experience managing large teams, contractors, and capital or maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians to achieve plant performance goals.
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and productivity.
  • Manage and optimize the maintenance labor budget and material spend to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Develop and track maintenance budgets, forecasts, and KPIs to support operational targets.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and maintenance best practices.
  • Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve asset reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and drive root cause analysis.
  • Oversee contractors, consultants, and project work as required based on plant size and scope.
  • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource constraints and operational challenges.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for maintenance strategies, systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
