Reliability Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Systems)
About The Position
Step into a Day of Keeping a Plant Running Smoothly At 7:00 a.m. in Milesburg, PA, you open your work orders in Maintenance Connection, map out your preventive tasks, and get to work ensuring every piece of production equipment is ready for the day. You’ll align machinery to OEM specifications using precision measuring tools, complete oil and lube routes at the manufacturer’s intervals, and chase down compressed-air losses with sonic leak detection. When a mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic issue pops up, you diagnose it swiftly and repair or replace components to keep downtime to a minimum. Some days you’ll interpret mechanical prints, BOM data, and technical diagrams to plan an installation. Other days, you’ll head to the shop for light fabrication—welding, running the lathe or Bridgeport, or cutting parts on a powered saw—to get a line back online. You’ll help with tooling, changeovers, and equipment startups, operate forklifts and aerial lifts as needed, and leave every area safer and cleaner than you found it.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pneumatics and hydraulics
- Proficiency with hand and power tools for mechanical repair
- Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
- Clear written and verbal communication, sound decision-making, and solid math skills

Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair on production machinery and facility mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and correct mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures
- Use precision instruments, hand tools, and test equipment to set and verify alignments to OEM standards
- Read and apply mechanical drawings, BOMs, and technical schematics
- Carry out minor fabrication: welding, lathe, Bridgeport, and powered saw work
- Execute scheduled lubrication cycles per manufacturer guidance
- Log all WR and PM work in Maintenance Connection
- Locate and fix compressed-air leaks using sonic detection equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support tooling changes, changeovers, and equipment startups
