About The Position

The Reliability & Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading maintenance and reliability operations within a blow molding manufacturing facility. This role focuses on improving equipment uptime, reducing unplanned downtime, and building sustainable maintenance systems through CMMS development, preventive maintenance, standardized workflows, inventory management, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision making. This position will lead the transition from reactive maintenance practices to a proactive reliability-focused culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of maintenance or reliability leadership experience in manufacturing; plastics or blow molding preferred.
  • Strong experience with CMMS systems, preventive maintenance, and reliability programs.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, CMMS platforms, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs for all production equipment and facility assets.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring equipment failures and downtime events.
  • Improve equipment reliability, asset life, and maintenance effectiveness through data analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Lead CMMS system development, maintenance planning, work order management, and maintenance KPI reporting.
  • Standardize maintenance procedures, documentation, and workflow execution across the department.
  • Track and analyze metrics including downtime, PM completion, MTBF, and MTTR.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and critical component availability to minimize production risk.
  • Establish inventory controls, min/max levels, and improved storeroom organization.
  • Support equipment upgrades, installations, and vendor coordination.
  • Lead and develop maintenance supervisors and technical personnel while driving accountability and technical ownership.
  • Actively participates in and maintains 5S workplace organization principles, leading 5S activities as needed while ensuring all tasks are performed in full compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Build a proactive maintenance culture focused on planning, discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and CI teams to improve operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, environmental, and company safety standards.
  • Support machine safety improvements and risk reduction initiatives.
