As a Reliability Engineer you will LEAD by…… We are looking for a professional like you to develop and implement reliability engineering systems for our Huntsville site. We are relying on you to responsibly apply reliability methodologies including, but not limited to, Risk-Based Inspections (RBIs), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to resolve Bad Actors. You will also manage the development and execution of comprehensive multi-year reliability plans and equipment inspections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Industrial Engineering or equivelant preferred.
  • 3+ years of reliability engineering experience or equivelant engineering experience required
  • Manufacturing experience required; chemical plant experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of reliability tools, practices, and other common equipment associated within a manufacturing facility required
  • Ability to read/understand ISOs, P&IDs, PFDs, One-Line required.
  • Experience with various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and SAP or similar CMMS required.

Nice To Haves

  • Understand Motor Schematics, Ladder Logic and Relay Logic and other related documentation preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills preferred.
  • Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems preferred.
  • Equipment, vessels and tanks Inspections ASME/API requirement experience preferred
  • Understanding of equipment burner management systems preferred
  • Electrical or Mechanical Accreditation preferred
  • Experience with vibration or other PdM inspection tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Expedite improvements, optimize costs, and improve overall asset effectiveness.
  • Drive strategic decisions for the business through the development of a multi-year reliability improvement plan that includes facilitation and execution of capital and expense projects for various operating units at the site.
  • Support equipment improvement projects either by expense or capital investment.
  • Supply engineering expertise in the specification, design, and construction of projects in accordance with plant design requirements, BASF ECMS standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, engineering, and research personnel.
  • Identify areas of cost reduction and prepare preventative and predictive maintenance requirements for new and existing equipment.
  • Provide site support related to plant equipment, maintenance and long-term reliability improvements, and capital project improvements.
  • Provides support and coordination to maintenance storeroom equipment spare parts and VMI materials levels.
