About The Position

At Medtronic, the Neuroscience portfolio is dedicated to improving the lives of people living with neurological disorders, spine conditions, and chronic pain. The Neurovascular Operating Unit specifically develops and delivers advanced, minimally invasive endovascular technologies for the treatment of acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, brain aneurysms, and other complex cerebrovascular conditions. These solutions, including catheters, stent retrievers, flow diversion, and embolization systems, enable rapid, image-guided interventions. Medtronic emphasizes bringing bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to prioritize patients. In-person collaboration is valued, with a requirement of working a minimum of 4 days a week onsite to foster professional growth and cross-functional teamwork.

Requirements

Baccalaureate degree and Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.
U.S. work authorization is required for roles below the Principal level.

Responsibilities

Develops, coordinates, and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs.
Recommends design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability.
Completes risk analyses for new designs and processes.
Compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics; investigates and analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes.
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards.
Analyzes preliminary plans and develops reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer, and governmental agency reliability objectives.
May develop mathematical models to identify units, batches, or processes posing excessive failure risks.
As necessary, proposes changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability.
May determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing and specify the minimum number of samples required to obtain statistically valid data.
