About The Position

Air Liquide Large Industries provides industrial gas and energy solutions vital to customer production. They own and operate extensive pipeline networks and production facilities, monitored 24/7 from their Houston operations control center. The company focuses on optimizing its supply network for high reliability and energy efficiency to support customer growth. Air Liquide is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. This role is for a Reliability Engineer in Houston, TX, focusing on Instrumentation & Controls within a project execution environment. The engineer will be responsible for delivering work packages, coordinating technical design, providing technical requirements for procurement, reviewing vendor documents, approving project changes, supporting proposal development, and providing site assistance.

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree (Bachelor's) required.
  • Valid employment authorization in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship required now or in the future).
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Good technical background as a graduate in Instrumentation & Controls.
  • Good command of SmartPlant 3D - SP3D, SPR, Naviswork, Microstation, Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) all modules, Autocad.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior industrial gas experience.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and deliver assigned Instrumentation & Controls Work Packages within contractual requirements, quality, schedule, and cost effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and validate Instrumentation & Controls Technical design, demonstrating ownership for HSE, technical, cost, and schedule.
  • Provide Technical requirements to the Procurement team for Materials Requisition.
  • Review and approve Vendor documents applicable for the Discipline.
  • Check and approve Project changes for his/her discipline.
  • Provide support and inputs in proposal development by providing Discipline technical solutions and estimates.
  • Provide Site assistance to reply to Site queries and may be required to go on Site as Field Engineer.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other discipline specialist engineers and project support functions.
  • Provide technical expertise and applicable solutions specific to his/her discipline deliverables.
