Job Summary: The Reliability Engineer will assist in the structure and execution of the NEW LEC proactive maintenance strategy. You will utilize your deep understanding of maintenance functions and key metrics, interactions with different systems, cross functional collaboration within the maintenance organization, and operations in totality to solve complex technical challenges. You will be responsible for creating and executing a Preventative Maintenance (PM) plan for every asset and establishing metrics that govern the plan.

  • Performance Management: Working knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
  • Analytical Thinking: Working knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Working knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering curriculum or equivalent experience in manufacturing operations

  • Demonstrated achievement in manufacturing engineering, facilities engineering, and/or maintenance roles with a strong understanding of core maintenance functions
  • Machining and Machine Shop maintenance experiences
  • Experience as a direct/indirect leader
  • CMRP credential

Responsibilities

  • Lead data‑driven reliability initiatives for critical assets, with a primary focus on increasing machine uptime and MTBF.
  • Analyze Llumin downtime data to identify recurring issues and find reliability gaps.
  • Initiate RCCA efforts for chronic failures, ensuring PCAs are put in place to address true root causes.
  • Evaluate preventive maintenance activities against actual downtime drivers. Identify gaps and ineffective PMs.
  • Propose data-driven PM improvements, frequency/interval changes, and new PM tasks.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, and OEMs/Integrators on inspections, diagnostics, and corrective actions on critical assets.
  • Track machine health indicators such as MTBF, MTTR, availability, and PM compliance.
  • Put together clear one-pagers, detailing failures and what must change to stop them.
  • Develop repeatable reliability analysis processes that can be duplicated across multiple machines and value streams.
