As a Reliability Engineer I in Cardiac Ablation Solutions you’ll play a key role in supporting reliability efforts for life-impacting medical devices. A Reliability Engineer I in this role is expected to perform pre and post market reliability responsibilities. This includes developing, coordinating and conducting technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts. You will complete risk analysis studies of new designs and processes and compile and analyze performance reports and process control statistics; investigate and analyze relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes. You ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards. You are expected to understand issue evaluation and escalation to make risk based decisions on issues and own subsequent reactions to escalations. You are also expected to maintain understanding of regulatory requirements. This position is in Mounds View, MN. within the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) unit. This includes, but is not limited to the following: Develops, coordinates and conducts technical reliability studies and perform testing to confirm engineering design concepts and changes. Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Design, and R&D to ensure alignment on validation strategy, risk analysis and execution of new designs and processes. Compiles and analyzes performance reports; investigates and analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes changes. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Ensure all validation activities are compliant with internal quality systems and applicable regulatory standards. Perform Issue Evaluations for potential product holds and/or field actions. Maintain risk file documentation. Reply to foreign regulatory body inquires.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or co-op experience in reliability, manufacturing, or quality engineering
  • Knowledge of Risk File Tools (ex. fmea, STA, GSPR, ERM, DHF)
  • Technical Writing Experience
