About The Position

Research, design, develop, or test electronic components and systems for commercial, industrial, or scientific use employing knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties. Design electronic circuits and components for use in fields such as telecommunications, aerospace guidance and propulsion control, acoustics, or instruments and controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (electrical engineering strongly preferred) with strong maintenance reliability experience required.
  • General plant experience with a minimum of 3-5 years in plant production position required.
  • Strong background and broad-based experience in the complex field of maintenance or reliability engineering.
  • A thorough knowledge of technical codes, standards and regulations is required.
  • A practical knowledge of current maintenance & reliability best practices and condition monitoring technologies is required.
  • Responsiveness and professionalism are critical and must have the ability to effectively collaborate with engineering, plant production, maintenance management, and shopfloor, both locally and globally, and positively add value to short term and long-term strategic planning.
  • Must be analytical and able to solve problems concisely and logically.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and manage expectations to create trust and credibility across a broad spectrum of the company.
  • Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.

Nice To Haves

  • Subject Matter Expert in required discipline (Electrical, Instrumentation, etc.) is preferred.
  • Process Safety Management experience, and certification as a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead equipment reliability initiatives for Care Solutions across North America (primary focus: Mapleton, IL).
  • Develop, implement, and manage E&I and Instrumentation PMs and manage technical repair and manage integrity and reliability programs (preventive & predictive maintenance).
  • Analyze equipment performance, identify bad actors, and drive strategic improvement plans.
  • Conduct and lead root cause analyses for equipment failures and recurring issues.
  • Partner with regional technical stakeholders to improve equipment availability and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor reliability trends and emerging technologies to enhance applications and performance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in key technical disciplines (e.g., static, rotating, electrical, instrumentation).
  • Provide E&I technical chance (MOCs) and guidance and collaborate cross-functionally to support continuous improvement and resolve equipment issues.
