About The Position

Shaw Industries is looking for an Electrician IV to train and mentor reliability electricians 1-3, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively. This role involves the design, installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems. The position requires the use of testing devices to troubleshoot electrical issues and inspect various electrical components. The electrician will maintain and upkeep equipment as assigned, participate in root cause analysis of machinery faults, identify necessary corrective steps, make repairs, and contribute to finding solutions to prevent future recurrence of faults. Responsibilities

  • Train and mentor reliability electricians 1-3, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Design, installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Use testing devices to troubleshoot electrical issues and inspect various electrical components.
  • Maintain and upkeep equipment as assigned.
  • Participate in root cause analysis of machinery faults, identify necessary corrective steps, and make repairs.
  • Participate in finding solutions to eliminate future recurrence of faults.
  • Locate and access NEC standards to ensure compliance with safe electrical installations.
  • Calibrate analog flow sensing devices according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Explain the operation of servo and stepper motors.
  • Connect communications and configure HMI IP addresses.
  • Install, download, and back up HMI programs.
  • Set up and demonstrate process controls related to flow, level, temperature, and pressure.
  • Create and utilize instructions with symbolic or tag addressing in Ladder Logic.
  • Read and interpret Ladder Logic and Function Block Diagrams for troubleshooting.
  • Reset robot paths and perform preventive maintenance (PM).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve robotic issues, including battery replacement and changing axis offsets.
