About The Position

The Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive facilities maintenance strategy focused on maximizing equipment reliability and availability by analyzing potential failure modes, prioritizing critical components, and utilizing RCM principles to design preventative and predictive maintenance tasks. This position serves as the subject matter expert for reliability engineering principles and maintenance optimization.

Requirements

  • Trained in vibration analysis and thermography at a minimum of Level II certification.
  • More than 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience working in a CMMS Systems (e.g. MAXIMO)
  • Must be familiar with RCM approach to maintenance and other maintenance improvement tools such as Asset Criticality Ranking, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis, PM Optimization, PM Prioritization, etc.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding on the basics of precision balancing of rotating equipment, laser alignment, tribology, airborne ultrasonics, motor circuit evaluation (MCE), and motor current spectrum analysis.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of five years of applicable/relevant electrical or mechanical engineering experience.
  • Previous experience working on a Government Contract or on a Government Facility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and administer the Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) Program in accordance with contract requirements and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate facility assets and determine equipment criticality to support mission priorities.
  • Develop preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies for facility systems and infrastructure.
  • Analyze equipment performance, maintenance history, failure trends, and reliability data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Perform root cause analyses (RCA), failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA), and reliability assessments for recurring equipment failures.
  • Develop recommendations to improve equipment reliability, maintainability, availability, and lifecycle performance.
  • Coordinate maintenance optimization initiatives with Engineering, Operations, Utilities, and Facilities Maintenance personnel.
  • Support the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) by validating asset data, preventive maintenance schedules, and maintenance documentation.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including preventive maintenance completion, backlog, equipment downtime, and reliability metrics.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and performance analyses for Government review.
  • Recommend modifications to maintenance procedures based on reliability analysis and operational experience.
  • Support planning and scheduling activities for preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Participate in facility inspections, condition assessments, and engineering evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable NASA standards, safety requirements, environmental regulations, and contract requirements.
  • Support transition activities, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout contract performance.
