About The Position

The Principal Release Train Engineer (RTE) acts as the chief facilitator for a software Agile Release Train (ART) in progress. This individual is responsible for establishing and maturing the ART's operating model to foster predictable delivery, improve workflow, and orchestrate Program Increment (PI) execution across multiple Agile teams and shared services, including Architecture, DevOps, Security, Quality Assurance, and Product Management. The RTE will work closely with Product Management, System and Solution Architecture, Engineering Leads, and a Scrum Master to launch the Agile train and promote continuous improvement. This position reports to the Director of R&D PMO.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of Agile delivery experience, including as an RTE, Senior Scrum Master, Delivery Lead, or Agile Coach.
• Required experience in a scaled Agile environment.
• Experience in managing software solutions and hands-on knowledge of end-to-end embedded software systems.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating PI Planning and coordinating multiple teams.
• Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
• SAFe RTE certification required.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Monday.com.
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
• For the position based in Brossard, French-English bilingualism is required, both spoken and written, to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders located in Canada and the United States.

Responsibilities

• Ensure predictable delivery through end-to-end visibility of the delivery roadmap.
• Establish the ART's cadence, ceremonies, and ways of working, including ART sync meetings, system demos, and inspect & adapt workshops.
• Plan and facilitate PI Planning, and then track associated objectives, risks, and dependencies.
• Remove systemic impediments and foster alignment between Product Management, Architecture, DevOps, and Quality Assurance teams.
• Improve workflow and predictability through the use of performance metrics, data analysis, and team coaching.
