Release Engineer

About The Position

As a Release Engineer/Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring CI/CD pipelines for smooth and successful builds and develop the UAT and production release plans. You will also be coordinating with important stakeholders such as QA, Infrastructure, Product and Business managers to resolve build problems, determine the release feature set and gathering of release documentation. The successful candidate will also perform a DevOps role as a secondary function, demonstrating competency with various AWS services including ECS, EC2, EBS, S3, Glacier, RDS, VPC, Route53, ELB, IAM, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SQS, SES, and Lambda. Proficiency in Python programming language and its associated tech stacks is required. You will work closely with Scrum Masters and the engineering team, conduct scrum-on-scrum calls, manage the release cadence, and execute releases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 8+ years of experience
  • 8+ years of IT release or delivery management.
  • 6-7+ years of experience with CICD pipelines, GIT and DevOps tools and technologies
  • Proficient in Python programming language and tech stacks
  • Demonstrate competency with AWS services: ECS, EC2, EBS, S3, Glacier, RDS, VPC, Route53, ELB, IAM, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SQS, SES, Lambda.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in/with Azure DevOps
  • Experience working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum) with multiple other teams as a Scrum Master or Program Manager or Project Co-Ordinator
  • Strong understanding and/or experience in some of the following: AWS Cloud, automated CICD and BDD with Cucumber.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints
  • Passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
  • Execution, AWS/Cloud Agents/Infrastructure. Etc.
