About The Position

The Relay Maintenance Engineer provides technical support to relay maintenance personnel on maintenance problems. Key responsibilities include: Review and investigate system operations to determine necessary corrective actions. Coordinate testing program to assure necessary PM tasks are completed as required by internal and external requirements. Provide support to relay maintenance personnel for commissioning and checkout of new relay systems and equipment. Prepare minor design changes to settings or systems as needed to support ongoing system operation. Support maintenance and replacement of communication devices such as RTUs and DFRs throughout the state.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university required.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software such as Access and Excel preferred.
  • Good analytical, decision-making, communication, and human relations skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of utility experience with specific knowledge of protective relaying or substation and power plant control schemes preferred.
  • New grads are open to applying.
