About The Position

As an Investment Resources Relationship Specialist, you will partner with the Investment Resources Relationship Manager to influence sales growth within Capital Group's strategic intermediary firms in North America by expanding platform access and servicing home office research groups. You will partner closely with the Relationship Managers to build and maintain relationships with strategic intermediaries by developing and executing business plans, delivering traditional and nontraditional resources, and proactively engaging clients. You will represent Capital Group by meeting with home office research clients and prospects virtually and in person, with up to 25% travel depending on client coverage and business needs. You will identify business development opportunities and manage relationships with the firms' research groups by analyzing, identifying, and recommending investment strategies. You will represent intermediary firm views to the broader Capital Group organization by sharing opportunities and firm priorities through research and analysis of investment results, industry trends, and firm-specific business models and priorities.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in financial services with a focus on relationship management, sales support, or business development.
  • Successfully built relationships with firms by developing and executing business plans.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to effectively adapt style, messaging, and level of detail to diverse audiences, including executives, home office leaders, research teams, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive, self-directed individual who takes initiative, identifies opportunities, and drives execution with minimal direction while maintaining alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Skilled in developing sales ideas and marketing concepts from data provided by partnered firms and communicating insights in a clear, persuasive manner.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, including keeping track of multiple documents, websites, and contacts both internally and externally, while effectively managing competing priorities.
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • Must hold or obtain within the first 90 days of employment the SIE, Series 7, and Series 63/65 or 66 licenses.

  • CFA and/or CIMA designations are highly preferred.
