As a Commercial Relationship Manager, you will help businesses grow by building strong client relationships, delivering strategic financial solutions, and connecting clients with the full range of Associated Bank capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to expand your market influence, deepen client partnerships, and play a key role in growing our commercial banking presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of commercial banking or business-to-business sales experience.
  • Proven business development, relationship management, and credit analysis skills.
  • Experience growing client relationships and delivering treasury, deposit, lending, or other commercial banking solutions.
  • Access to reliable transportation and the ability to lawfully drive, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of commercial banking or business-to-business sales experience.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and expanding market share.
  • Strong knowledge of treasury management and other non-credit commercial banking products.
  • Established network of business and professional contacts within the market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial relationships, driving client retention and long-term growth.
  • Drive loan, deposit, and fee income growth through proactive business development and relationship expansion.
  • Partner with treasury management, capital markets, private banking, wealth management, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Analyze client financial information and credit opportunities to recommend appropriate lending structures.
  • Identify client needs and connect customers with the right products, services, and banking experts.
  • Maintain strong portfolio administration and risk management practices aligned with bank policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Present credit opportunities and recommendations as part of the loan approval process.
  • Represent Associated Bank in the community by building referral networks and participating in business and civic organizations.
