About The Position

Cyprus Credit Union is seeking a passionate Relationship Development Officer to expand its impact in schools and community organizations. This role involves building relationships, promoting financial literacy, and delivering engaging financial education programs to students and educators. The ideal candidate will be a community ambassador, helping young people build a strong financial foundation while strengthening the credit union's community ties. Requirements

  • Two+ years of previous relationship development, community outreach, education, and sales experience.
  • A history of high sales goals met consistently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft Excel and other standard office technology.
  • High school or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Must have a well maintained, reliable vehicle and be willing to travel to conduct credit union business.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience presenting to groups or leading educational programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, teachers, administrators, counselors, nonprofit organizations, and other community partners.
  • Identify opportunities to bring financial literacy education to students, educators, families, and community members.
  • Coordinate and deliver engaging financial literacy presentations, workshops, classroom activities, and community events.
  • Work with educators to understand their financial education needs and provide relevant resources and programming.
  • Help students develop practical financial skills, including budgeting, saving, responsible borrowing, credit, goal setting, and understanding financial products and services.
  • Represent Cyprus Credit Union at school events, career fairs, financial literacy events, community activities, and other outreach opportunities.
  • Build awareness of Cyprus Credit Union's commitment to financial education and community development.
  • Collaborate with branches and other Cyprus Credit Union teams to identify opportunities to support schools and community partners.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize a schedule of school visits, community events, presentations, and partnership activities.
  • Maintain an organized database of schools, educators, community organizations, contacts, programs, and outreach activities.
  • Track and report on financial education activities, community engagement, partnerships, and program outcomes.
  • Help develop creative new approaches to financial education that engage students and educators.
  • Stay current on financial literacy topics, educational trends, and resources that can benefit students and community members.
  • Respond to questions and requests from school and community partners and connect them with appropriate Cyprus Credit Union resources.
  • Participate in community networking and outreach activities that strengthen Cyprus Credit Union's presence and relationships within the community.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
