About The Position

You are responsible for providing an AMAZING customer experience to Profinium customers. You help customers achieve their dreams & build lasting relationships. You will help the organization to provide service to our customers, deepen existing customer relationships & create new customer relationships. You make recommendations for improving banking functions & products to create an AMAZING client experience!

Requirements

  • Have a High school Degree or equivalent
  • Have 2-4 years of experience in a community bank
  • Have 5+ years of experience in a customer service environment
  • Experience with banking systems required
  • Strong knowledge of typical bank products & services
  • Must meet the qualifications to be registered with the Federal Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS)
  • High numerical aptitude
  • Dexterity to count money
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Skills needed in a typical office environment, including computer skills & utilization of office equipment
  • Regularly required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to operate a computer, carry, handle & feel objects; reach with hands & arms; communicate effectively & efficiently in person & over the phone.
  • Must occasionally lift &/or move up to 25 pounds or more with assistance.
  • Ability to travel to other locations as needed.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception & the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of customer service, including greeting walk-in customers & answering incoming calls in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Perform paying & receiving functions for customers, including cashing checks, taking deposits, withdrawals, mortgage, consumer loan & other payments. Additionally, provide official checks & help customers with other transaction services.
  • Assist customers with their current account needs, including checking, savings, certificates, safety deposit boxes, IRA’s & HSA’s, Trusts, Estates, Fiduciaries.
  • Ensure that the assigned cash balances on a daily basis, is kept secure at all times & must keep cash drawer within assigned drawer limits.
  • Understand & comply with the related laws & compliance regulations that pertain to all of your duties. Examples include bank secrecy act, privacy, & funds availability policy.
  • Recognize any suspicious behavior & have the ability to make decisions when to consult management on any transactions.
  • Successfully retain, expand & attract clients to Profinium’s products & services. This may include expanding account relationships with existing clients, attracting prospects to the bank & participating in joint calls with our partners. This effort may include contacting clients by phone, mail, email & in person to ask for account relationships.
  • Assist clients with providing recommendations to meet their banking needs, to include opening new accounts.
  • Recommend policy/procedure enhancements to better serve customers & coworkers.
  • Assist clients with credit card lending, ready reserves & lending, including real estate lending.
  • Understand & generate quality credit within guidelines set by bank policy & individual lending authority to reach growth targets.
  • Understand & effectively apply selling techniques to open, develop & close a sale. Create interest in a product & actively cross-sell other products & services.
  • Achieve personal goals set by you & your Manager.
  • Achieve Team Partnership (referral) results based on annual targets communicated by your Manager.
  • Assist in the successful achievement of goals set for the Branch and Bank as defined by the bank’s annual organizational objectives.
  • Have a thorough understanding of current market trends/conditions.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the various products & services the bank offers & effectively communicate the value of those services & products to the client or introduce them to the appropriate expert.
  • Assess emerging issues & potential liabilities.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the compliance function & provide support in this area when needed.
  • Serve as the backup to the manager when needed.
  • Be an effective trainer of Relationship Banking Products & Procedures.
  • Have the knowledge & authority to approve wires, official checks, ACHs & like as outlined in the Bank’s approval authority policy.
  • Assist in the support of other bank activities.
