About The Position

Relationship Bankers build customer relationships through face-to-face conversations and proactive engagement, providing guidance based on customers’ banking needs, goals, and channel preferences. They obtain and process customer and account information, educate clients about deposit and loan products and services, and recommend financial solutions. The role also includes originating and closing consumer loans, opening accounts, and opening and/or closing the branch. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. The registration process includes a criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain registration requirements, including a satisfactory criminal and credit record, may result in rescission of an offer or termination of employment. The role requires working from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled work days. The listed pay range is $23.08–$31.25; actual pay may vary based on the job location. The position is based at the Downey Main location in California.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Typically fewer than four years of job-related retail banking experience, or a combination of experience and commensurate training.
Must obtain and maintain NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, including meeting criminal background and credit check requirements.
Must work from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled work days.

Responsibilities

Build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up, learning about clients’ financial needs and banking channel preferences.
Identify solutions for new and existing clients by engaging and communicating effectively with them.
Maintain working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital offerings.
Provide a consistent client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and other partners to serve clients.
Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications.
Educate clients about emerging and self-service digital products and services to help meet their financial needs.
Use available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and deliver accurate, operationally excellent service.
Originate and close consumer loans.
Open and/or close the branch.
