About The Position

The Relationship Banker provides an industry-leading client service experience in person and by phone by developing and expanding new and existing client relationships. The role offers financial solutions based on consultative conversations and refers clients to other business partners for additional growth opportunities. The banker is cross-trained to perform teller duties as needed. The position supports individual and branch service and sales goals, handles client maintenance requests and problem resolution, discusses consumer lending options, and takes loan applications. It also requires compliance with operational procedures, internal controls, and risk management policies. The role is based in the Greater Charlotte and Triad area, with a Saturday requirement in Asheboro.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education.
Two years of client sales and service experience.
Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including registration requirements and applicable NMLS background checks; must meet ongoing regulatory requirements.
Ability to multitask under time constraints.
Ability to travel as needed to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes.
Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnights may be included.

Responsibilities

Handle routine client maintenance requests, resolve problems, and perform sales functions involving deposit, credit, convenience, and other products and services.
Contribute to client service and individual and branch sales targets by offering products and services and developing, expanding, and retaining client relationships.
Conduct consultative conversations and address or refer complex client needs and financial goals to internal specialists.
Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
Build knowledge of sales techniques and products by attending meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.
Advise clients on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies; stay informed about policy and procedure changes.
Provide courteous client service during transactions, which may include teller duties, greeting clients, and helping them navigate the branch.
