About The Position

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position for a Roving Relationship Banker, reporting to Retail Banking. Rovers travel to Savings Bank branches in Ukiah, Hopland, Lakeport, Redwood Valley, Willits, Laytonville and occasionally Mendocino and Fort Bragg. This position requires a reliable vehicle for travel. Transportation is not provided. Rovers are reimbursed for mileage and compensated for travel time. There are four (4) openings. The application closing date is 09/11/2026 at 5:00 p.m. All Relationship Bankers must successfully complete Savings Bank’s eight-week in-house training program upon hire. For Relationship Banker 1: The ideal candidate has at least one year of customer service and six months of cash-handling experience. A successful person in this role has strong communication skills; effective organizational and time management skills; is adept at problem-solving; is highly accountable; has impeccable attention to detail; and is adaptable, dependable, and comfortable interacting with a broad range of individuals. For Relationship Banker 2: The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in a Relationship Banker or equivalent position at a financial institution. A successful person in this role has strong communication skills; effective organizational and time management skills; is adept at problem-solving; is highly accountable; has impeccable attention to detail; and is adaptable, dependable, and comfortable interacting with a broad range of individuals. Relationship Bankers excel at identifying the customers’ needs and the best product or service that will meet those needs.

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
One year of experience in customer service
6 months of experience with cash-handling
Experience with Windows-based computers
One year of experience in a Relationship Banker or equivalent position at a financial institution
6 months’ experience opening new accounts
Experience with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

Spanish/English Bilingual skills
Previous experience in banking, including new accounts
Experience with Horizon Core Banking Platform

Responsibilities

Provides a positive customer service experience in harmony with our Customer Service Standards.

Provides referrals to designated specialists in Lending, Merchant Services, and Investments.
Performs all types of routine banking transactions, including basic new accounts.
Maintains a strong understanding of products, services, technology, and operational procedures.
Builds relationships with customers by conducting service calls, offering promotions, etc.
Serves as back-up coverage at other branches (including Video Banking) as needed.
Performs all duties of a Relationship Banker 1 accurately, efficiently, and independently.
Processes a wide range of banking transactions, including new accounts, with limited supervision.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of products, services, technology, and operational procedures.
Enhances relationships with customers by conducting service calls, recommending products, offering promotions, etc.
Mentors and shares knowledge with coworkers within the scope of the position.
