About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Relationship Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. This role involves building customer relationships, identifying needs, and offering a range of Wells Fargo retail banking products and services. The position requires compliance with the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations, including meeting Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z. Employees not fully licensed at hire will participate in a temporary licensing program until requirements are met, after which they will transition to the Relationship Banker (SAFE) role. The day-to-day duties can vary based on experience, customer base, and specific branch offerings.

Requirements

2+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent (work experience, training, military experience, education).
1+ year of assessing and meeting customer needs or issue resolution (work or military experience).
1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners.
Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays.
Adherence to Wells Fargo sales practices risk management culture.
Current registration for FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 (or FINRA recognized equivalents) is required or must be completed within a specified period.
For specific states, FINRA Series 65 (or equivalent) examination will also be required within a specified period.
State Insurance license(s) are required and must be completed within a specified period.
Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate FINRA license(s) is required for ongoing employment.
Meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards.
This position requires SAFE registration at the time of employment.
Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements.
A current credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness.

Nice To Haves

Successfully completed Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 6 and Series 63 examinations (or FINRA recognized equivalents) sufficient to qualify for immediate FINRA registration.
State Insurance license(s).

Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and employees.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with customers and understand their needs.
Identify opportunities to offer Wells Fargo retail banking deposit and credit products and services.
Analyze business challenges related to full-service banking for emerging affluent and high-value customers.
Present recommendations for resolving customer inquiries and service requests.
Open and service accounts within authorized limits, and create follow-up plans.
Provide information to internal and external sources to enhance customer experience.
Leverage partners and connect customers with appropriate resources.
Partner with financial advisors to address customer investment or retirement needs.
Provide self-service digital banking options to customers.
Offer/negotiate terms and/or take applications for dwelling-secured transactions.
