About The Position

Flatirons Bank is seeking candidates from all backgrounds to join their team as Relationship Banker III. This role is crucial for building and maintaining strong banking relationships with both consumer and business clients. The Relationship Banker III will deepen client engagement through tailored financial solutions, including deposit services and credit products. This individual will act as a trusted advisor, taking initiative in outreach and networking to expand the bank's community presence. A background in cash handling, operations, sales, and client service is essential. This position may also be responsible for training other entry-level bankers. The role is based in Longmont, with occasional coverage in Boulder.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in retail or commercial banking.
  • Active NMLS registration required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in consumer and business lending.
  • Deep knowledge of deposit products, treasury services, and financial regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow a client portfolio.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with banking platforms, loan origination systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality client experience for new, existing, and prospective clients.
  • Effectively communicating the value of Flatirons Bank to prospects and clients to market, deepen, and grow relationships.
  • Cross-selling the Bank’s products and services and referring clients to appropriate staff.
  • Managing a small book of business by actively connecting with clients to build lasting relationships and grow their relationship with the Bank.
  • Reinforcing the application of superior customer service through personal example and appropriate follow-through.
  • Performing Teller duties, including cashing checks, processing savings withdrawals, and issuing cashier’s checks.
  • Confirming all necessary documents are properly authorized, in proper form, and within authorized limits.
  • Making decisions when questionable items are presented for cashing.
  • Providing effective customer service by answering client questions, investigating and correcting errors, and resolving problems.
  • Representing Flatirons Bank at local networking events, community meetings, and business development forums.
  • Actively engaging in client outreach outside of the bank to raise brand awareness and build community trust.
  • Partnering with local business organizations and nonprofit groups to identify and support shared goals.
  • Promoting the Flatirons Bank brand as a trusted local banking resource.
  • Ensuring all loan and account documentation is accurate and compliant with federal and state regulations.
  • Receiving and processing stop payment and hold notices.
  • Proactively working with leadership to identify and solve efficiency opportunities in processes.
  • Processing online banking transactions including ACH, external transfers, mobile remote deposit items, etc.
  • Performing other treasury management and operational duties as required.
  • Assisting in the preparation of operations audits as it relates to treasury management services.
  • Making decisions regarding the opening of new accounts, assigning account numbers, obtaining and properly filing all required CIP and other required documentation.
  • Verifying credit and/or account history as appropriate.
  • Providing support to all assigned areas of branch operations where service or assistance is needed, including new accounts, tellers, operations, and safe deposit.
  • Performing other duties related to branch operations daily.
  • Reconciling internal accounts on a rotating basis, including researching and resolving outstanding items.
  • Processing ATM Access card requests, DDA lines of credit (Overdraft Protection), credit card, and debit card applications.
  • Adhering to Bank policies, government regulations and legal requirements.
  • Performing other operational duties as required.
