Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One or more years of banking, financial services, client service, sales, cash handling, or related experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in relationship banking, transaction processing, client service, or comparable responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of deposit products, account opening and servicing, branch operations, and related banking procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify client needs, recommend appropriate solutions, make referrals, and deepen client relationships.
  • Ability to independently handle a broader range of client questions, account servicing needs, and routine problem resolution.
  • Strong accuracy, attention to detail, judgment, organization, and follow-through.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, client-focused approach.
  • Ability to learn and perform expanded branch operational responsibilities while maintaining appropriate internal controls and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, teamwork, and readiness to accept increasing responsibility.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, experience, training, certifications, and professional development will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the responsibilities and demonstrate proficiency in the core competencies of the Relationship Banker I position while providing expanded client service and branch support.
  • Open and service consumer deposit accounts accurately and efficiently, ensuring appropriate documentation, client identification, disclosures, system input, and regulatory compliance.
  • Engage clients in needs-based conversations to uncover opportunities, recommend appropriate Bank products and services, deepen existing relationships, and contribute to individual and branch performance expectations.
  • Resolve a broader range of client questions and service needs, including account maintenance, digital banking access, debit card services, and other banking solutions, using sound judgment and escalating complex matters when appropriate.
  • Conduct proactive client outreach and follow-up, including new-account follow-up, relationship-development activities, and other assigned calling efforts that support client retention and branch growth.
  • Identify opportunities to expand and deepen client relationships by connecting clients with appropriate Bank partners and solutions across consumer lending, mortgage, commercial banking, deposits, business solutions, and other areas of the Bank based on the client's needs.
  • Work closely with Client Support, Bank Operations, and Loan Servicing/Support and appropriately escalate client, account, transaction, system, loan servicing, or operational questions and issues requiring additional support or expertise, while maintaining appropriate ownership, communication, and follow-through.
  • Support teller and branch operations as business needs require and perform assigned operational responsibilities, which may include opening/closing procedures, vault and cash responsibilities, ATM functions, cash ordering, dual-control activities, balancing, operational checklists, audits, reports, and other branch functions based on training, authorization, and assignment by the Branch Manager.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Bank products, services, procedures, systems, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements; collaborate with Compliance, Consumer Lending, Mortgage Loan Originators, and other internal Bank partners as appropriate.
