About The Position

At Regions, the Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone while helping improve customers’ financial wellness. The role builds meaningful personal connections while processing transactions, identifies ways Regions can meet customer needs, and helps resolve customer service inquiries from start to finish. It is an entry point for candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or retail sales experience who are interested in career growth and development. The successful candidate is ambitious and adaptable, communicates effectively, and educates customers about ways to bank when, where, and how they choose. The position is full-time, incentive eligible, and eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act for hours worked in excess of 40 per week. It is located at the Pierremont branch in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to oversee large sums of cash.
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.

Nice To Haves

One year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide an optimal customer experience on the cash line while processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
Answer customer questions about products and services and fulfill basic service requests, including card requests, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution.
Develop relationships with customers and stay informed about their relationship with the bank.
Educate customers about standard consumer products and digital banking solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to resolve customer problems.
Refer customers to internal experts when complex financial goals or needs are identified.
Follow bank processes, procedures, applicable laws, and regulations; complete duties delegated by the Branch Manager; and help manage, identify, and report operational risks.
Help achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
May make outbound calls from generated customer and prospect lead lists to explain emerging technology and assist with customers’ financial needs.
