The Relationship Banker I performs essential functions and key areas of responsibility under general supervision. This role involves developing customer relationships through active profiling and needs-based questioning to identify deposit, credit, investment, and other needs. The banker is responsible for opening new personal and business deposit accounts, identifying and selling appropriate consumer loan solutions, responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and recognizing and referring cross-sale opportunities. Additionally, the role includes performing all Customer Service Teller functions, managing a cash drawer within proper limits, and balancing as required. Responsibilities also encompass account maintenance and closing, assisting customers with balancing challenges, and offering solutions like fresh start loans. The banker must adhere to all operational and security policies, including compliance and privacy policies. A key aspect of the role is establishing, retaining, and deepening relationships with existing and new customers to achieve branch sales goals and provide exceptional customer service. The position may also involve serving as a Montana Notary Public, verifying document authenticity, and acting as an impartial witness. There is potential to participate in the mentorship and training of new employees. The role requires the ability to prospect and plan selling strategies, both internally and externally, and to actively participate in a calling program. Other related duties may be assigned.
