About The Position

Relationship Bankers build relationships with customers through face-to-face meetings and engagement at the times and places customers need counsel. They assess customers’ banking needs, obtain and process customer and account information, educate clients about deposit and loan products and services, and recommend financial solutions suited to each customer’s goals. The role also includes originating and closing consumer loans, opening accounts, and opening and/or closing the branch. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. Registration includes criminal background and credit checks. Failure to meet or maintain registration requirements may result in rescission of an offer or termination of employment. The position requires working from a U.S. Bank location on all scheduled workdays. The listed location is Yuba City, California. The role is listed as 20 hours.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Typically less than four years of job-related retail banking experience, or a combination of experience and commensurate training.
Obtain and maintain NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, including meeting the related criminal background and credit check requirements.

Responsibilities

Build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up, asking questions, and learning clients’ financial needs and banking channel preferences.
Identify solutions for new and existing clients by engaging and communicating effectively with them.
Maintain working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital products and services.
Provide a consistent, optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to serve clients.
Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications.
Proactively educate clients about emerging and self-service digital products and services to help meet their financial needs.
Use available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and provide accurate, operationally excellent service.
Originate and close consumer loans and open and/or close the branch.
