About The Position

As a Relationship Assistant, you will provide operational and administrative support to Relationship Officers and Banking Center leadership in achieving loan production and portfolio management goals. This role is responsible for coordinating and supporting all phases of the loan process, including preparing loan files for closing, ensuring documentation accuracy and completeness, coordinating with the loan documentation team, and reviewing loan documents and settlement statements to ensure compliance with approved credit structures and bank requirements. The Relationship Assistant will serve as a primary point of coordination with title companies for preliminary reports, endorsements, recordings, searches, and title instruction letters, while also ordering, reviewing, and processing business organizational documents. Additional responsibilities include coordinating the ordering, delivery, and review of third-party reports such as appraisals, environmental investigations, title work, UCC filings, flood searches, insurance documentation, and credit reports. This position will monitor loan pipelines, manage loan ticklers, follow up on post-close items, perform internal post-close audits, and maintain accurate loan records and reporting. The Relationship Assistant will also process change-in-terms requests, collateral releases, paid loan files, loan disbursements, and construction loan draws, while overseeing loan fee GL accounts and processing invoices related to third-party reports and other Banking Center expenses. In this role, you will support construction lending activities by coordinating inspections, handling loan disbursements, preparing authorized cashier’s checks and wires, and ensuring interest reserve payments are processed timely. Additional duties include obtaining final title policies, validating insurance coverage, reviewing post-UCC searches, preparing payoff quotes and late fee reports, and maintaining accurate electronic loan records and documentation. All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of banking experience.
