About The Position

Atlas Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Related Arts Teacher to provide engaging enrichment instruction to students in Pre-K through 8th grade. The Related Arts Teacher fosters creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning through hands-on, interactive lessons while supporting the school's mission, culture, and academic goals. Depending on teacher expertise, Related Arts courses may include music, visual arts, technology, STEM/STEAM, innovation, project-based learning, media literacy, or other enrichment offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Missouri teaching certificate (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students and families.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching in an elementary and/or middle school setting.
  • Experience with music, project-based learning, arts integration, STEM, technology, or enrichment programming.
  • Experience working in diverse educational settings.
  • Commitment to educational equity and student achievement.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Incorporate hands-on learning experiences, projects, and collaborative activities.

  • Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and participation.
  • Establish and maintain clear expectations and routines.
  • Build strong relationships with students and families.
  • Support the school's behavior management systems and restorative practices.
  • Foster a classroom environment that reflects Atlas values of excellence, integrity, kindness, respect, and stewardship.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student learning and interdisciplinary connections.
  • Participate in department and school-wide meetings.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Work closely with special education staff and intervention teams to support all learners.
  • Attend professional development, staff meetings, and school events as required.
  • Maintain lesson plans, assessment records, and other required documentation.
  • Participate in school functions including family events, student showcases, and community celebrations.
  • Uphold all school policies, procedures, and professional expectations.
