As a Reinsurance Examiner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate management of reinsurance and excess reporting for workers' compensation and property and liability programs. Requirements

• High school diploma
• 5 years related claims experience required.
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled or able to obtain the licenses/certification per local requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
• Computer experience with related claims and business software.
• Ability to think critically, solve problems, plan and organize activities, serve clients, negotiate, effectively communicate verbally and in writing and embrace new challenges.
• Analytical skill necessary to make decisions and resolve complex issues inherent in handling losses.
• Ability to successfully negotiate the settlement and disposition of serious claims including the ability to interpret related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reinsurance and excess carriers receive timely and accurate reports.
• Work closely with managers and supervisors to address inquiries and maintain quality control.
• Analyze large loss reports and provide feedback to the claims team.
• Support external audits.
• Manage monthly reinsurance reporting and respond to inquiries from carriers.
• Review and approve large loss reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Provide ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support external reinsurance audits and manage carrier system access.
• Deliver feedback to the claims team and develop success stories.
