Reinsurance Broking Analyst - REACH 2027

About The Position

This is a 24-month structured learning and development program designed for upcoming and recent college graduates, as well as career changers, to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in reinsurance broking and risk management. Participants will gain direct access to the Executive Team and a network of mentors, trainers, and colleagues. The program involves paid training hours and is a full-time role with a hybrid work schedule. The REACH Program start date is July 2027, with potential for early starts based on business needs. The role involves protecting clients' assets by immersing in sophisticated analytics to provide insights, risk transfer strategies, and operational expertise. Participants will collaborate with clients, craft presentations, analyze data with actuarial and financial teams, contribute to reinsurance transactions, and work with contracts. The program also includes web-based and in-person seminars, with the goal of obtaining a P&C license within 12 months and an ARe designation within 18 months. As experience grows, analysts will help clients navigate challenges, find coverage solutions, and support them during unexpected losses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) to build, refine, and transmit documents seamlessly
  • Strong technological proficiency enabling you to use various software for efficient task completion
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients and colleagues
  • Flexibility to travel to our home office in Rolling Meadows, IL, five (5) different times for training. All travel expenses will be covered by Gallagher Re

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients at all levels of their organization, assisting in the marketing, negotiation, placing, and servicing of client accounts
  • Craft persuasive pitch documents and compelling presentations for both new and existing clients
  • Analyze data in partnership with our actuarial, catastrophe modeling, and financial advisory teams, providing valuable insights
  • Contribute to the structuring, placing, and servicing of reinsurance transactions
  • Play a crucial role in working with contracts and supporting the finalization of reinsurance placements
  • Participate in web-based and in-person seminars to expand industry knowledge
  • Work towards attaining your P&C (Property & Casualty) license within 12 months of your hire date
  • Work towards attaining your ARe (Associate in Reinsurance) designation within 18 months of your hire date
  • Help clients navigate challenges and find coverage solutions that align with their budgets
  • Support clients during unexpected losses, ensuring their businesses continue to thrive
