Bristol Hospice is seeking two experienced Hospice Medicare Billers II to join our growing Reimbursement Team! Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of healthcare billing experience
• Minimum 1 year of hospice billing experience
• Hospice Medicare billing experience
• Experience with authorization and reimbursement processes
• Knowledge of HealthCare System software
• Strong knowledge of Medicare billing regulations and reimbursement processes
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Typing speed of at least 50 WPM

Responsibilities

• Process and submit Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and patient billing accurately and timely
• Verify patient eligibility, payer guidelines, and authorization requirements
• Review admissions, discharges, and clinical documentation to ensure billing compliance
• Monitor accounts receivable, research denials, and follow up on unpaid claims
• Handle Medicare appeals, adjustments, and reimbursement issues
• Track and resolve billing errors, bill holds, and payment discrepancies
• Maintain Medicare A & B logs and assist with quarterly reporting requirements
• Communicate regularly with branch leadership regarding missing documentation and revenue-impacting issues
• Serve as a subject matter expert for complex reimbursement and system-related questions
• Assist with onboarding and training of new reimbursement team members
• Maintain compliance with Medicare regulations, payer requirements, and company policies
• Other duties as assigned
