About The Position

Under the direction of a licensed therapist, assists in delivering patient care in the rehabilitation setting as described in State of Maryland Practice Acts. Performs routine tasks to help ensure productive therapy sessions such as maintaining treatment areas, preparing patients for therapy, and assisting in clerical tasks.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • No experience required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire
  • Strong verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to enable the technician to establish and maintain rapport with team members, patients, and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and maintains treatment areas and equipment to adhere to appropriate infection control standards, as well as maintains logs to assure compliance.
  • Assists the licensed clinicians in the delivery of patient care as permitted by State of Maryland Practice Acts.
  • Assists in the training of new rehabilitation technicians.
  • Assists front office and clinicians with routine clerical tasks to support the patient care process.
  • Monitors and maintains inventory to assure adequate supplies.
  • Demonstrates patient-centered care and service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
